We Need Your Help!

The arrival of 2026 has been rather a damp affair so far with little respite from the grey skies and relentless rain. But it's not all bad, Spring is just around the corner, honest!

Plus, work has started around the pond to rebuild the bank support on the path side of the pond, and cure the leak at the
bottom end of the pond. It would be really good if it were to stop raining now, so that the work can be completed.

Our first event of the Year is on Saturday 28th March from 1pm to 3pm. The Dinosaurs are returning to the grounds of Birley Spa!

Can you find all their eggs before they eat you? Can you dig up a fossil? We have craft activities too, and if you want to dress up, as a dinosaur, or a dinosaur hunter, you might win a prize!

In other news we submitted an Expression of Interest to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for resilience funding, the starting point towards restoration, which would cover the cost of a fully costed business plan, feasibility studies, architectural reports and community consultations etc.
 
As a result of the EOI, the NLHF have said that our project appears to fit with their criteria for funding and we have been invited to submit an application. Although this is excellent news and very exciting, this is also something that we have never done before, and we could really do with some help.

In fact we could do with a lot of help. We have had so much support over the years and we really appreciate it but we are a pivotal moment in our mission to save Birley Spa. If you, or someone you know are willing and able to help in any of the roles mentioned below, please do get in touch.
